Jonathan graduated from Grace College of Divinity and served on staff for three years at Manna Church in Fayetteville, NC. Then God called them to Southern Pines, NC to be a part of Grace Church of Southern Pines where he served for five years as Executive Pastor. Jonathan and Michelle were married in 1999 in Daytona Beach, FL. Michelle graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in speech pathology. She now spends her time home schooling their four world changers: Brooke, Stephen, Christin, and David.
Chris Bitsas – Creative Director

Chris Bitsas joined the staff in July of 2012 and is serving as our Creative Director. He has been attending Grace since the Fall of 2002. His primary responsibility is providing creative vision and organizing teams around the creation and presentation of media. More…
Chris is a licensed architect and has worked in the profession for 10 years before coming on staff. He is a avid maker and photographer and enjoys tinkering in his studio. He went to school at UNC-Charlotte where he met his wife Leslie. They were married in 2002 and have four children, Ava, Adelynn, Ruby, and Ezra.

Kevin and his wife Jodi have two children Eden and Eli. They enjoy Durham Bulls baseball, exploring the many foodie locations in the triangle, and having fun with friends. Jodi, an accomplished photographer, is also a talented worship leader, and is right at home beside her man on stage.

Adam was ordained at Grace Church in October 2009. Prior to joining Grace Church’s staff, Adam was a high school math teacher for four years. He holds an undergraduate degree from St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD and a graduate degree from the University of Mississippi. He was born and raised in Leavenworth, KS. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have five children and live in Durham.

Before becoming Director of Cross Culture on Campus(C3), Darnell was the owner and operator of a commercial cleaning business. Darnell’s heart is to see every high school student come to know Christ by providing them with God-centered communities to grow in the knowledge of Him. Darnell and his wife, Nikko, live in Durham with daughter Brielle.
Steve Heineman – College Ministry

Steve has been a member of Grace Church since the beginning of 2013. He grew up as a pastor’s kid and, after attending one year of college at Rutgers, decided to join with the Covenant Players- an international drama ministry. More…
He spent four years traveling the entire country and performing, after which he decided to return to his studies.Steve has an Associates Degree in Human Services- Nonprofit Management, and is well on his way to completing a Bachelors degree in Business Management with a focus in Human Resources. Steve is happily married to his wife Kristin and they have four wonderful children- three boys and a girl. They live in Carrboro, about a mile and a half from the UNC campus. He runs two small businesses full time and in his spare time enjoys reading, fishing, running, and traveling.
