Goal of Grace Kids
The goal of Grace Kids is to reach children and build their lives by helping them become more and more like Christ. We do this by creating a dynamic and age-appropriate atmosphere through which kids have fun and learn the truths of the Bible. Our well-trained Grace Kids ministry workers are the key to creating this dynamic, helping each child to better know Jesus. While our curriculum is a solid, Bible-based approach to teaching the next generation, we know that caring adults are more crucial than any curriculum in guiding kids to a better future.
Check-In Counter (All Children)
Upon entering Grace Church, please bring your child to the Grace Kids Check-In to the left in the foyer. The Grace Kids Check-In Team will greet you. New families will go through a two minute check-in process which allows us to provide a secure environment for your children. After the check-in process, all new families will be taken on a three to five minute tour of the Children’s Wing; parents will visit their child’s classroom, meet the teachers, and learn about their child’s lesson for that day.
Grace Kids Early Childhood (Ages 0-5 years)
Grace Kids Early Childhood includes care teams and small groups for children who are newborn through five years old. During each Sunday morning service, every child will experience a measure of who God is, how much He loves them, and how great His plans are for them.
For our children who are three years and younger, our rooms are staffed with a Room Host in addition to our wonderful Assistants. Room Hosts serve every week, which allows parents and children to form meaningful relationships with them, as well as providing customized attention to children.
At ages four and five, children move into the Preschool & Kindergarten Room where they are placed in small groups and continue to develop relationships with caring adults. Small Groups Leaders serve every week to provide consistency in relationships, customized attention, and support in learning to walk with Christ. Children also enjoy a dynamic large group time with musical worship, multi-media curriculum, and age-appropriate teaching from our well-trained Large Group Leaders.
Grace Kids Elementary (First Through Fifth Grade)
Grace Kids Elementary is a fun-filled, enthusiastic service that is geared to the special needs of elementary schools students. Our programs are designed to capture the child’s attention while training them for a lifetime of following Jesus and becoming a part of a church family.
When children are dropped off at their classroom, our Team Leaders greet them and their parents to provide a brief overview of the lesson and plan for the class. At the start of the class, kids enjoy fun and games while interacting with the adults in the classroom.
This time is followed by our Large Group program where children enjoy live worship led by a children’s band, a multi-media curriculum, and a lesson taught by our well-trained Large Group Leaders. After Large Group, children meet in grade-specific small groups with a Small Group Leader who serves every week. This consistency in scheduling allows leaders to develop a mentoring relationship with these children, enabling them to teach the truths of the Bible in an ongoing manner.
